Collection: Garlands

Each paper garland is created in Nepal from sustainably harvested Lotka, a bush that grows in the Himalayas. Traditionally, lotka paper was used for religious manuscripts from Nepal, Bhutan, and Tibet. The earliest surviving lotka paper document is estimated to be 1,000 to 1,900 years old. By the 1960s, only two families retained the traditional knowledge of the handmade lotka paper production. With the help of the outside interests, the indigenous lotka craft paper making has survived. Now you can decorate your environment with these beautifully crafted garlands.
